English Hub Writing Support
The English Hubs have been tasked by the Department for Education (DfE) with supporting the dissemination of the key messages from the recently published Writing Framework (8 July 2025). To ensure clarity and consistency, all English Hubs will deliver a series of DfE- and Hub-scripted webinars designed to guide schools through the framework’s principles and expectations.
The Writing Framework is non-statutory guidance that sets out a clear, evidence-informed approach to the teaching of writing. Rooted in research and existing effective practice, it provides a shared vision to help schools strengthen writing provision and improve outcomes for all pupils.
The Writing Framework Publication
Through our webinars and support materials, the English Hubs will help schools understand and apply this guidance with confidence and consistency.
